the other friday i was out with friends and i got home late. now when i say late i do mean late!
i got home at 3am!
is that too late? should i be scared? should i be more careful? my mom is very concerned. its in her nature though. i love her so her views really are important. but i always think…its a friday and a lot of peeps are out at night. so is it safer? am curious. i live along thika road so i alight on the way (kindly don’t mention where exactly if you know). and where i alight has security right at the entrance by the road plus the security guards have dogs. so…is it safer? should i be worried?
i personally don’t mind..but i do get scared. very scared.

Nkt! Are you serious?? Guards WITH dogs for where you alight? Of course you’re safe! I’m even jealous! I don’t have the luxury of take mats after 10 because they’re all gone! And even if they were there they’d still drop me at some distance from the hood! So unless you have theif within your hood your good! Guard with dogs! Good lord!!!

Yea. But late hrs they seem not to be there. But I think theyre just quiet. I have alighted late more than 5 times already and I just hope its as safe as it seems. *Sigh*

Don’t make it a habit though.
Recent events have shown that the security guys themselves can be extremely suspect. Get some form of deterrence (pepperspray et al). It could buy you some minutes when you truly need em. Flat shoes for speedwalking / running are a plus.

Learn how to kick some butt while you’re at it too
and 3 a.m isn’t late, its too early. The general rule is if the party makes it to midnight then you let it run till early morning and retire it then.

I agree with buggz79..i have nothing against our security brothers but i dont trust them that much..kwanza after the onyancha guy am even mo scared..
Now maybe i need to define what hanging out is coz 3am is soo freaking late..for me> i turn into a vampire after midnight thats why

i live along thika road too..and i dont make it a habit of going home in the wee hours, half alive,half drunk..coz i could get nasty.. if you have an alternative palce, lets say crushing at your pals..take that..
